As I had mentioned in my “About Me” section I had no prior post-secondary education before the start of this Septembers semester and Jack Brink’s “Imagining Head Smashed In” was the first scholarly article that I have ever read. I struggled a great deal to even pick out the key points of the article and had to re-read it many times over.

Even after reading the article multiple times I had only just picked out Brinks key ideas and didn’t expand on my own interpretations at all. At this point I had never been challenged to think critically about any work before and it was a difficult thing to get yourself in the habit of doing.
